DAY 1  Early this morning we’ll be picked up at our various pickup points and transferred to the Amtrak Station. We’ll board the Empire Builder for our trip to Chicago, and while taking in the scenery along the Mississippi River you’ll be free to have breakfast on your own. As the train crosses Wisconsin you’ll see wonderful scenery, including the Dells. We’ll arrive in Chicago at about 4:00 pm, where our deluxe motorcoach will be waiting to transfer us to our hotel for our 2-night stay right on Michigan Avenue. After checking in and time to refresh, you'll be free to have dinner on your own.

DAY 2  Our morning will start with included breakfast and then we'll head to the John Hancock Center for a wonderful view of the city from the 94th floor. On a clear day you can see up to 80 miles away and 4 states. We’ll then meet the guide for our tour, showcasing Chicago's grand architecture and famous attractions. Our tour will end at Navy Pier for time to browse the shops and have lunch on your own in your choice of the many restaurants. Later we'll enjoy an included narrated Chicago River Boat Cruise, then return to the hotel for time to refresh.  Our evening will be a highlight as we head to Tommy Gun’s Garage, a Roaring Twenties Speakeasy, for included dinner followed by their wonderful musical show.


DAY 3  Following breakfast on your own we'll visit the John G. Shedd Aquarium -- you'll love the many marine displays. The remainder of the day will be yours to enjoy Chicago on your own.  Beautiful Grant Park, with its Buckingham Memorial Fountain, is across the street from the hotel, and the lakeshore is just on the other side of the park.  Other places to visit close to the hotel include the Art Institute, the Field Museum, and Adler Planetarium and Astronomy Museum.  The coach will be available to shuttle passengers to these attractions on a pre-set schedule.  The hotel offers hourly shuttles to the "Magnificent Mile," so you can browse the wonderful stores along Michigan Avenue and visit Water Tower Place.  Later, we'll board our motorcoach and head to the Drury Lane Dinner Theater for included dinner followed by their wonderful show.  

DAY 4  This morning after included breakfast we'll head north into Wisconsin stopping for a break prior to arriving in Tomah at the Burnstad's European Village and Cafe. You'll have time to browse the many unique shops and have lunch on your own. This afternoon we'll head for the Twin Cities taking a break prior to arriving home early this evening.
