DAY 1 On
our way south, well stop for our included coffee and roll break. Lunch is included
in Des Moines at the Iowa Machine Shed. This afternoon we'll enjoy a guided tour of
the Bridges of Madison County in Winterset, Iowa, made famous by the best-selling novel
and movie. Our storybook tour includes the history of the covered bridges and the
birthplace of John Wayne. After checking into our hotel for the next 2 nights, the evening
will be free to relax and have dinner (on your own).

DAY 2 After
our included breakfast well head for Pella's wonderful Tulip Festival, where
well be greeted by our local guide (in Dutch costume) for our city tour. Youll
then have time to visit a Dutch bakery, stroll main street, sample Dutch foods, shop, view
the Glockenspiel and have lunch (on your own). We have reserved seating at the
Volksparade, where youll see the Queen Coronation, street scrubbers, Dutch Dancers
and the wonderful parade. In the late afternoon well have an included Tulip Festival
Dinner at the Pella Christian High School, then return to our hotel in Des Moines.

DAY 3 An
included breakfast starts our day, then we're off to Amana, Iowa for a short driving tour
of the Amana Colonies. We'll have time to enjoy the many unique shops, as well as an
included lunch. This afternoon we'll head back to the Twin Cities, arriving back
home early this evening.
