DAY 1 This
morning well board our deluxe motorcoach and head south, stopping for our included coffee
& roll break before heading into Iowa. Well stop in Des Moines for lunch (on
your own), then continue on through Kansas City to our overnight in Topeka, Kansas. This
evening well enjoy our included Welcome Dinner and get to know our fellow
passengers.

DAY 2 An
included breakfast starts our day. Well then head across Kansas, stopping to visit
the beautiful Cathedral of the Plains, constructed in 1908. This afternoon our travels
will take us into Colorado and to Colorado Springs for our 2-night stay.
DAY 3 Following
our included breakfast, well head to Canon City for our ride on the Royal Gorge
Railroad, through the Royal Gorge and along the Arkansas River 1,200 feet below the Royal
Gorge Suspension Bridge. Well then visit the Royal Gorge Suspension Bridge Park with
admission to all attractions included. This afternoon well return to Colorado
Springs and drive through the Garden of the Gods. Well make a photo stop and visit
the Trading Post, then return to our hotel for time to rest and freshen up. Our day will
end with a wonderful Chuckwagon Supper and Western show at the Flying W Ranch.

DAY 4 After an included breakfast,
were off to visit the historic old mining town of Cripple Creek. First, we'll ride
the Cripple Creek Narrow Gauge Railroad to hear the stories of the areas mining
glory years. Later youll have time to browse the downtown area, maybe visit one of
the casinos that the town is now known for, and have lunch (on your own). This afternoon
well continue south to our overnight in Alamosa.
DAY 5 After our included breakfast
well head to Antonito, Colorado, to board the Narrow Gauge Cumbres & Toltec
Railroad. Our wonderful and scenic 8-hour ride through the San Juan mountain ranges
includes lunch en-route to Chama, New Mexico. Our coach will meet us upon arrival and take
us to Farmington, New Mexico for our overnight.

DAY 6 Well depart this morning, stopping to
visit the Four Corners National Monument. Then well continue on to Kayenta, AZ for
lunch (on your own) prior to driving through the beautiful rock formations of Monument
Valley. This afternoon well cross into Utah and stop to see Navajo Twin Rocks and
browse the Trading Post. Well then return to Colorado and overnight in Durango. The
evening will be free to enjoy this wonderful western town.
DAY 7 This morning after our included breakfast,
well board the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gage Railroad for our spectacular
three-and-a-half hour ride hugging the walls high above the Animas River Canyon to
Silverton. Upon arrival youll be free to have lunch on your own, and have time to
explore the shops. Later well drive the Million Dollar Highway to Americas
Little Switzerland, Ouray, Colorado, which is surrounded by 4 magnificent
14,000-foot mountain peaks. Youll have time to browse the downtown area, then
well head north to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Americas newest national
park. Youll be amazed at the sheer walls of this canyon! Our overnight will be in
Montrose, with the evening free to have dinner on your own.

DAY 8 Following
breakfast (on your own) well head north to Grand Junction to board Amtrak for our
ride through the beautiful Rocky Mountains. The train will travel through the 6-mile long
Moffat tunnel, across the 12,000 foot Continental Divide and along the Colorado River
through Gore and Glenwood Canyons. The train has dining and snack cars so you can eat on
the train. Early this evening when we arrive in Denver, the coach will take us to our
hotel for the night.
DAY 9 Following included breakfast well head
east across Colorado and into Nebraska. Well stop at the world famous
Oles Big Game Restaurant for lunch (on your own). Later well visit the
Great Platte River Road Archway Memorial, a wonderful museum that stands 8
stories tall and spans the I-80 interstate. Youll learn about the wagon train
pioneers who traveled this route. Our overnight will be in York, where well enjoy a
farewell dinner this evening.

DAY 10 This morning well continue east into
Iowa, stopping in Des Moines for lunch on your own. We should arrive back in the Twin
Cities early this evening with fond memories of the scenic and spectacular beauty of the
Rocky Mountains by train and motorcoach.
